Technical design and environmental analysis of 100-kWp on-grid photovoltaic power plant in north-western Iran

Abstract Due to the fuel security and environmental concerns of traditional energy resources like fossil fuels, grid operators are tending use renewable energies as primary supply. This paper presents study designing, simulation analysis a 100-kWp on-grid photovoltaic power plant (PV-PP) in north-western Iran. Accurate meteorological data, satellite images local knowledge from this region have narrowed down options three highly irradiated cities Maragheh, Mahabad Khalkhal region. PVsyst MATLAB software used obtain performance results. Environmental effects carbon-emission savings execution proposed PV-PP also available paper. The result shows that installation Maragheh will higher output than two other cities. is insightful for academics stakeholders finding optimal spots Iran construct PV-PP.
